This Guided Journey is meant to be read to your children as they relax and use their rich imaginations to follow your words. Sleep will come more easily, their creativity will be ignited, and they will develop a deeper sense of focus.

Sit or lie down with your spine straight and long. Close your eyes. Take a nice deep breath and relax your body.

Another deep breath and let go -- relax. Breathe deeply and let your thoughts just float away. Allow your busy mind to slow down and become quiet and peaceful. Think about your breath moving slowly in and out of your body. Breathe in and as you breathe out imagine all of the tension and worry is flowing out of your body with the breath.

Now picture a beautiful light shining down on your head. This light feels warm and comfortable. What color is the light? Feel the light entering your body through the top of your head. Imagine this soft light flowing through your body. It warms your head, your face and now your neck and your shoulders. The light travels down your arms into your fingers. It stops in your stomach. Feel this soothing light warming your tummy. Imagine that this is where you have a connection to the entire universe, to your deeper wisdom, to God.

Anytime you relax your body and your mind and come to this deep, quiet place -- you are in touch with your intuition-- what some people call your "gut feeling." You can ask for guidance or for information. You can ask about a problem or a worry you are having. Ask for a feeling of what you should do or what you should know.

Is there anything you want to know about now?  You can ask it now in your mind. Then get quiet and listen. LISTEN! Hear the subtle answer or notion as an idea or an image going gently through your mind. You may not get an answer right away but one will come to you in the near future. Just trust this GUT feeling is being sent to you from a deep safe place. If you aren’t sure what you’ve heard, ask again. This is a wonderful place to come when you aren’t sure about a situation, need help solving a problem, or just want to connect with your intuition.

Take another deep breath in -- and out. When you feel ready come back to the room.
